Ticket redemption is an optional feature that allows you to keep track of whether the tickets on a specific order have been redeemed or not. This can help prevent tickets from being reused or as a way to manage check in for specific party orders.
You can enable ticket redemption in the ticket configuration section, for each specific event.
Important: Ticket redemption does not affect the availability of tickets at a specific time. A ticket sold for event A will decrement event A's availability regardless of whether the ticket is redeemed or not.
When this option is enabled, all ticket types for this event can be redeemed. When a ticket is sold, it has a status of 'Issued'. Issued tickets typically represent a ticket that has not been redeemed. You can see the ticket status on a customer's order.
Each ticket group on an order can be redeemed in bulk by clicking the check mark for that group. If you wish to redeem tickets one by one, you can expand the ticket group by clicking the arrow next to the name.
When a ticket is redeemed, the group will also be marked as redeemed, or a partial redemption status.
This allows you to get a quick glance at which tickets have and have not been redeemed for a specific order. You can click the arrow next to 'Redeemed' to 'un-redeem' the ticket if needed.
Scan Tickets
Ticket redemption can be handled from the Scan Tickets option as well. When a QR code is scanned, the screen will list out all of the tickets for that order. You can check them off individually, or use the checkbox beside the event name to redeem them all at once.
