The Revenue, Events, Category (REC) report is a useful tool for getting a quick glance at your gross and net income. You can sort by the following fields:
- Target Date: This will affect the day column and the period it falls in for the week, month, quarter, and year.
- Choose Report Periods: Select the periods you wish to report income on; these will show up in separate columns after the report runs.
- Exclude Cancelled Orders: When checked, the report will not include income from any order marked as "Cancelled" in the system.
- Report Periods: This option is currently not in use.
After running the report, three separate sections will show up: Revenue, Events, and Category Sales.
Revenue
The revenue portion of the report is a summarized version of the accrual sales and closeout reports, so you can check your revenue under those accounting systems. There will be multiple sections depending on which report periods you ran the report for. There will also be a cancelled orders section (If you do not exclude cancelled orders) which you could view as potential lost revenue. The accrual section of the report will show all sales during the time period, while the closeout section will give specific transaction numbers as well as refunds and deposits. Event
This section is a summarized version of the Event Statistics report. It will show the revenue of all parties (Booked online and inhouse) during the specified report periods. These will be sorted by the status of the individual parties. Cancelled orders will be separated here as well.
Category Sales
This section of the REC report is most similar to the Sales Analysis report. The different product categories you have in PCS will be shown here, with the generated revenue in the report periods.
